The permanent secretary in the ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction Mr Olubunmi Olusanya has encouraged members of the management in the office, to work as a team and achieve the goal of putting smiles on the vulnerable in the society. This was contained in a statement signed by Janet McDickson, Director, Information, and Public Relations.
The permanent secretary mentioned this when he had a management meeting in the office on 30-04-2026 along with all management staff.
While welcoming the new Directors posted to the office, he pointed out that “Here, we work as a family and care for one another, we put others before us” Adding that, when you are here, you are making sacrifices for the country, hence, your best is needed to help the minister achieve the goal of the ministry and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.
Mr Olubunmi reminded members that the meeting is to re- appraise the activities taking place in the ministry and to see where it can improve.
He encouraged the Directors to also take time to have departmental meetings and to bond with one another for a smoother operation.
He congratulated the Director, Poverty Reduction, Mrs Ruth M. Audu- Nunghe, who was having her last management meeting with the members as she retires from public service before the next management meeting.
He thanked her for her services to Nigeria and hoped that she would enjoy the fruits of her labour.
Mrs Nunghe appreciates God and the opportunity given to her by the Federal Government to serve. She thanked all for working together as a family.
