The Bauchi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed disapproval of members who speak negatively about the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate.
The party, in a statement released by Mallam Saad Umar, the Chairman of the Publicity Committee, expressed strong appreciation for the Minister’s commendable qualities and contributions. The statement highlighted the Minister’s dedication to public service, integrity, and commitment to improving the lives of citizens. It emphasized the positive impact of the Minister’s leadership and initiatives on the community, underscoring how these virtues have fostered trust and confidence among the members of the party and the public at large.
Mallam Umar elaborated on the critical situation the party is currently experiencing as it prepares for the upcoming election. He emphasized the importance of unity among members, urging them to come together and support the Minister wholeheartedly. Instead of harbouring negative sentiments or speaking ill about him,
Umar highlighted that the focus should be on fostering a collaborative environment to ensure the party’s success in the elections. He encouraged members to channel their energy into constructive efforts that would strengthen their campaign and enhance their chances of victory.
“We need to concentrate on winning the upcoming election instead of expressing negativity towards the Minister or any party members. Our priority should be to secure victory in the elections. Wasting our energy on negative thoughts will only hinder our success”, he added.
Professor Pate is fully dedicated to mobilizing and preparing for the victory of the APC, as highlighted by the APC National Chairman. He is focused on reconciling members with genuine grievances and is committed to the re-election campaign of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as the gubernatorial candidate of the APC, Governor MA Abubakar, SAN, and members of the National Assembly and the Bauchi State House of Assembly. Additionally, he is working to fulfil his ministerial mandate, aiming to improve healthcare and promote social welfare in Nigeria.
Pate has secured tens of billions in federal healthcare spending for Bauchi, including a recent ₦10 billion Maternal and Newborn Healthcare Intervention. Furthermore, he has helped thousands of Bauchi citizens obtain federal government appointments”, he stated.
The party has strongly urged the Minister to maintain his focus on two important objectives: firstly, the ongoing development and strengthening of the party, and secondly, the effective execution of his duties as the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare.
This pivotal role, entrusted to him by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, carries significant responsibility, and the Minister must remain dedicated to fulfilling these critical tasks for the betterment of the community and the nation as a whole.
