The fight against kidnapping in Nigeria’s North-East continues to gain momentum as troops of Operation HADIN KAI, working alongside the Yobe State Hunters Group, recorded another breakthrough with the arrest of five suspected kidnappers in Fune Local Government Area of Yobe State.
Acting on credible intelligence, the joint security team raided a suspected criminal hideout in Jegalari village, recovering locally fabricated firearms, ammunition, and mobile phones believed to have been used in criminal operations.
The operation underscores the growing importance of collaboration between the military and local security outfits in tackling insecurity. It also highlights the effectiveness of intelligence-led operations in disrupting criminal networks before they strike.
While investigations continue, military authorities say the operation is part of sustained efforts to dismantle kidnapping syndicates and restore lasting peace across the North-East and neighbouring states. Residents have since remained calm, with security forces maintaining heightened vigilance to prevent any resurgence of criminal activities.
