The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) hereby informs the public that an annual preventive maintenance has been scheduled at its Bida 132/33kV Transmission Substation on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 8am to 1pm. This was contained in a statement signed by the Management of TCN.
The statement reads: “The exercise will enable TCN’s crew to carry out preventive maintenance on a 60MVA 132/33kV transformer and associated switchgear in the substation.
“Consequently, Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will be unable to off-take electricity to its customers in Bida Town, Army Barracks, Agaie, Doko, Baro, Zago, Emi Rani, Bussu, Laugba Goshigi, Lafiyagi Essa, Amgulu, Mansantali, Agaie Town, Low Cost, Masaga, and surrounding villages during the maintenance period.
“Power supply will be restored to the affected areas upon completion of the maintenance exercise.
“TCN apologises for the inconvenience this planned maintenance will cause electricity customers in the affected areas, ” it also added.
