Nigeria’s leading digital infrastructure provider, Galaxy Backbone Limited, has unveiled a new brand identity as part of activities marking its 20th anniversary, signalling a renewed commitment to driving the country’s digital transformation agenda.
The unveiling took place during the organisation’s 20th Anniversary Gala and Awards Night held in Abuja, where government officials, policymakers, industry leaders, partners, customers, and employees gathered to celebrate two decades of the company’s contributions to Nigeria’s digital development.
Speaking at the event, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Galaxy Backbone, Professor Ibrahim Adeyanju, described the new brand identity as a reflection of the organisation’s evolution and future aspirations.
According to him, Galaxy Backbone has remained a trusted partner in Nigeria’s digital transformation journey over the past 20 years, providing critical digital infrastructure that connects government institutions, empowers public service delivery, and supports national development.
He noted that while the organisation is proud of its achievements, it recognizes the need to continually adapt to changing technological realities and the evolving needs of stakeholders.
Adeyanju explained that the refreshed identity represents the organisation’s growth, impact, and ambition for the future, stressing that its core mission remains unchanged despite the rebranding.
He emphasized that the transformation goes beyond a visual redesign, describing it as a renewed commitment to innovation, excellence, and delivering smart digital solutions capable of accelerating Nigeria’s digital future.
The company also reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through the provision of secure digital infrastructure, enhanced government connectivity, and innovative public-sector technology solutions.
Established in 2006, Galaxy Backbone has played a central role in advancing Nigeria’s digital agenda through broadband connectivity, cloud services, cybersecurity solutions, data centre operations, digital platforms, and shared ICT infrastructure for government institutions across the country.
Over the years, the organisation has expanded its operations nationwide, supporting digital governance initiatives, improving public service delivery, and strengthening the technological foundation required for national growth.
The anniversary celebration, themed “Two Decades of Digital Impact,” highlighted the company’s achievements over the last 20 years while outlining its vision for the future. The event underscored Galaxy Backbone’s commitment to innovation, operational excellence, digital inclusion, and public-sector transformation.
As part of the celebrations, the organisation honoured outstanding employees, partners, and stakeholders whose contributions have helped shape its success and growth over the years.
With a refreshed corporate identity and a renewed strategic vision, Galaxy Backbone says it is well-positioned to deepen its impact and continue providing the digital infrastructure and technology solutions that power government institutions, businesses, and citizens across Nigeria.
